See What Students Are Saying About The Hubbard College

"We started off doing consulting for income and product development to build a future. The company prospered, but solely from consulting; the products that we developed never seemed to take off as expected.

In 1986, all that changed when I was introduced to L. Ron Hubbard's essays on marketing.

Most people know of Mr. Hubbard as the Founder of the Scientology religion and the author of Dianetics. But few people realize he wrote an 11-volume set on the subjects of administration and management. This instantly revealed to me what I had been doing wrong and resulted in a 180-degree shift in our marketing direction.

We used Mr. Hubbard's survey and marketing techniques to find, develop and launch a new product that put our company on the map. The next year our sales increased five-fold.

Repeating those same successful marketing actions and applying more of the principles found in the Hubbard Administrative Technology, we more than doubled our revenues the next year and the next year. Diskeeper subsequently appeared on the Inc magazine list of the 500 fastest growing privately held companies in America for four years in a row; and even ranked in Software Magazine's list of the top 100 independent software companies in the world.

It is important to note that this success has been accomplished entirely without the use of venture capital. The company is debt free and completely self-financing."

"The management training we took at the Hubbard College has turned out to be a real lifesaver for us. Soon after our training we began applying it and the business flooded in. That sounds like the answer to our dreams, but it was the beginning of another problem: how to live up to the demand of increased sales.

"Again, our training came to the rescue with the assistance we needed. We learned how to organize the company for more efficient delivery and also how to become the type of executives that it takes to successfully run a multimillion-dollar company. Today we have 80-plus employees and are affiliated with more than 400 independent-contractor court reporters. We had no formal business training, but by learning and applying Mr. Hubbard's Management Technology, we have pulled off all this! It's almost hard to believe, as we look back. But it's true.

"Anyone can have a successful business if they apply what they learn at the College. The management technology is simple, easy and fun, not to mention financially rewarding."

"Recently I was invited to be a guest at the White House and all throughout the dinner I kept thinking to myself, 'How is it possible I should be here?'

"Similarly, when I was in the queen of Thailand's private dining room, I wondered, 'Why me?'

"I always knew that I had a dream, but how did I actually pull it off? When I started out, I was an eccentric artist with no connections, no business savvy, and like most artists in my industry, I didn't have much affinity for the business side of fashion-just a burning desire to create an effect with my work. So how did I end up turning my idea from a cottage industry where I was personally selling one piece a day, to a successful fashion company where my line is selling in over 300 high-end retail stores all over the world?"

"I was introduced to L. Ron Hubbard's Administrative Technology."

"I have applied the policies of Mr. Hubbard's Public Relations and Marketing technology and watched my company grow 500 percent in six years, it now being a multimillion-dollar company."

"When I began practicing dentistry I was eager to service everyone. After all, that is what doctors do. However, I had no management technology and found myself frustrated and stressed out. I was constantly looking for an answer to improve as a person and improve my practice. After being in the field of dentistry for six years and only getting by with great effort, I was introduced to L. Ron Hubbard's Management Technology in 1989 and began to apply it to my practice. I saw results instantly in myself and my practice. I realized that I had the ability to make things go right by applying these great tools that Mr. Hubbard had developed. Not only does it take rolling up your sleeves and 'dedication,' it also takes having the correct technology.

"My statistics have skyrocketed ever since. Today, I enjoy arriving at work and walking into the office of my dreams and seeing those dreams turned into a reality. I continue to apply Mr. Hubbard's Management Technology to my business because I know it works and it can work for any business. In fact, I invite all businesses to take part in making their expansion dreams come true. All it takes is applying the correct technology and L. Ron Hubbard has placed these tools at our fingertips. Enjoy!"

"I formulated some big goals for myself while very young. Before coming to Hubbard College, the reality of my future looked much smaller to me than the goals I wanted to achieve. I attended a very well known university for two years and dropped out because I felt that at least 80% of my time there was wasted. I wasn't getting knowledge and skills that I could use in life or in business.

Next, I started my own company and worked in sales for eight years. I needed to learn how to be an executive and how to run a company. I wanted to get information that I could apply in life and in business. I found out about Hubbard College and was immediately impressed by the focus on application of the knowledge learned.

One of the best things for me is the curriculum is self-paced and allowed me to go at my own speed and still work. This flexibility made it possible for me to complete my studies at a faster rate because I was in control.

I found a huge difference between the staff members at Hubbard College and staff at the university I attended before. At the university, I was frustrated much of the time due to the stops and barriers I encountered from a bureaucratically run institution. I didn't have much interaction with faculty and staff. The faculty just lectured and gave tests. At Hubbard College I really learned how to study so that I could be in control of my own learning.

With the technology of study, students can teach themselves. The staff support me, make sure I really have the knowledge and make sure that I can use it. There are no stops here.

There is no situation that comes up that I can't handle. I feel very confident that I can handle things. And if a situation arises that I don't know how to handle, I always know exactly where I can get the knowledge and tools to handle the situation.

Six months ago, I became the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for a successful software company due to the Job Placement assistance at the College. I was able to come in and start in an executive position only because of what I learned. In the six months I've been working here, we have increased sales by 40% over the previous year.

I'm having a great time on the job and I'm having wins and successes every day. I'm very excited about the future and I now see that I can achieve the goals that I've always wanted to achieve. I now have the tools to accomplish my goals and a road map to get where I want to go."

"A few years ago, I was living in San Luis Obispo, CA, going to a traditional four-year college. It was a highly respected school known for its "learn by doing" approach. I was in the College of Business in my third year and still as confused about where my life was going as I was the day I graduated from high school. I hadn't learned anything very useful in actual business situations and had yet to do anything using the "learn by doing" approach. I was disenchanted. I was considering going on to do the master's degree program after I finished my bachelor's degree because I was sure that program would teach me something more useful.

I was feeling very unsure about what kind of job I would be able to get, or if it would even be something I would enjoy doing. I had been telling my friends that I was feeling this way and found that most of my fellow students at college were feeling the same way. I just thought it was "normal" and that by some magical circumstance everything was just going to somehow fall into place.

Then I attended a Productivity Workshop at Hubbard College. This workshop opened my eyes to the fact that there actually was a workable technology that anyone, including me, could learn. My boyfriend and I toured some businesses in Los Angeles that were using Hubbard Administrative Technology to run their companies. We were very impressed because we saw that these companies were growing and expanding using this technology. That convinced me that I wanted to know it for myself.

I was one year away from completing my bachelor's degree, and to satisfy my family I agreed to complete it. For one year, I drove three hours on Thursday nights to Los Angeles to go to Hubbard College over the weekend. I drove back each Sunday night for my other classes.

I finally graduated, but in the short time at Hubbard College I learned ten times more about actually running a business than in the entire four years of traditional college. It was amazing! I also became more sure of my career aims and goals.

After graduation, I moved on and have a fantastic career as an executive in a major Hollywood production company. Remember the boyfriend I mentioned who came with me to visit Hubbard College? We are now married and he also graduated with his degree from Hubbard College. He has a great job as the VP of Operations in a business systems firm. We are so very happy! Not only do we have great careers that we love, we are supporting ourselves financially at a high level.

This is a great feeling! This is what college should be! With the knowledge we now have as a result of this incredible program, we handle any situation that comes up. We just know what to do without even having to think about it. Because of all of the practical applications and excellent staff at Hubbard College, we are successful executives, totally sure about where we are going in life, with no question that we will achieve anything we choose to."

"I am from Taiwan. I graduated from junior high school and then attended medical and nursing school. I was trying to figure out what my career would be. I learned about medicine and nursing but I still did not really have a career path. I was looking for work but every company wanted a university graduate.

So I enrolled in a university in Taiwan and studied food nutrition. I graduated from university but still did not have a career path. Eventually I ended up working for my mother in her preschool. This was only supposed to be for a couple of months. After six months I was still there and still trying to figure out my career. I was feeling a bit lost at this point in my life.

Then someone told me about the Hubbard College. She told me that it was different than other schools. I asked, "How?" She said, "Every student has to apply the knowledge that they have learned. This is what Hubbard College expects from its students. They want their students to know and apply the knowledge. They don't want their students to graduate and then find a job that has nothing to do with the subjects studied." I was surprised on this point!! I never knew of any school with the intention to really make sure the students learn and apply 100% of the material they study. This was the missing point of my whole life! I could see for the first time that I might be able to find my career and help my parents! When I started this program I discovered this was the program that I was seeking for a long time.

I studied one course and then I had to go do the apprenticeship in a real company. I was really nervous at the beginning. I couldn't believe that I had to go out right away and apply in a real place. But it wasn't as hard as I thought. I went out to a company, interviewed the people, and a magic thing happened. I spotted their problems right in the interview. I drew up a short plan to handle the problem and then implemented it to professional level and produced the results I intended to produce. And I, Sunny Yu, the girl who has never gone into any business in Taiwan, the girl who only studied "food nutrition" in the university, could see problems in businesses and organizations and know how to handle them, could handle them, and have actually done it! Before I came to Hubbard College, I wanted my life to be easy.

I wanted to make lots of money and travel around the world when I got old. This was what I thought was the purpose of my life. I have changed my viewpoint. In doing the apprenticeships, I went into different companies and helped employees to better conditions. I helped others to improve their lives. Some even got promoted due to my help. And I now know this is what I want. I want to help other people to win in their lives.

As a result of this program, my purpose and goals in life are clear and strong. I don't want to be a person working in an office and just collecting a paycheck. I want to help others to achieve their goals.

After graduation I returned to Taiwan and strategically planned the establishment of a new English school in China. Immediately after the planning was done, I left for China. I spent about three months there and established a brand-new English school. I used all I had learned from my degree to plan everything, from hiring the employees, training them, marketing the new school, getting students, setting up the finance systems and establishing the teachers to quality control, and all in a new country. Wow!

This was a great experience and I could not have done it without my degree from Hubbard College. I have now returned to Taiwan and am working on our next business expansion project. I am ready to go anywhere and create great results with any business. My parents are excited about my graduation from this program and my family members all think this is the best decision I have ever made."
